Unmatched security and simple usability
To use beel — whether as an investor holding virtual shares or as a founder managing admin rights — you need a wallet. We could not find any external wallet provider that fitted our requirements perfectly.
Our challenge
Many users do not own a wallet and have no wish to deal with setting up and safely managing a key. All they want is to sign in by email or Google, plus two-factor authentication (2FA) for security-critical actions at most — nothing more. On the other hand, we have professionally experienced crypto users who want full control and would like to use their existing non-custodial wallet. Some users hold around €200 in virtual shares, others millions.
At the same time, we do not want beel to hold any keys — no custodial service. There must be no single point of failure either. And we cannot rely on users keeping their credentials, devices or keys safe. They will occasionally forget or lose their login details, so we need a way to restore accounts through ID verification alone.
The question was simple: is there a wallet infrastructure that covers all of these needs?
Yes — and that is exactly what we have built over the past months, with the help of some of the most respected providers in the field: Gnosis SAFE, Tangany and Privy.
The heart of the wallet
At its core, the beel Wallet is a Gnosis SAFE multi-signature wallet (MultiSig) — the industry standard for high-security wallets, with more than $100bn under management. We set one up for every user, and we cover the cost. By default it is a 2-of-2 multi-signature setup plus a recovery key. In other words: two signers are required to authorise a transaction.

Signer 1: the login wallet via Privy
Every user receives an embedded wallet through our partner Privy. This lets newcomers to crypto sign in simply by email (using a one-time password instead of a password — considerably more convenient) or with their Google account. More advanced users can use their own external wallet instead. In the background, Privy creates a non-custodial wallet.
We call this the login wallet — it stays non-custodial, works across devices and delivers a frictionless user experience.
Signer 2: the key held at Tangany
For the second signer we use a key held at Tangany, a fully licensed crypto custodian based in Munich. Tangany meets the highest security standards and has clear plans for exceptional scenarios such as liquidations. Using this key requires two-factor authentication via an authenticator app — without 2FA, nothing happens.
The recovery key
To cover the loss of either key or of login credentials, Gnosis SAFE offers a recovery function through a non-signing key. It cannot authorise transactions or access assets, but it can propose replacing the signing keys with new ones — with a 28-day window in which the existing signers can intervene. If the recovery key is compromised, the legitimate signers can block any changes. The recovery key is held by a third party in a highly secure cold wallet and is only accessible after thorough identity verification.
More than theft and loss protection
To compromise the wallet, an attacker would need access to both signing keys, or to the recovery key plus one signing key — and even that is not enough on its own. The scenario in which only the recovery key falls into the wrong hands is extremely unlikely. Even then, there is a 28-day window to take action, for example by moving virtual shares to another wallet.
If the Privy key is lost, recovery is possible through authentication. If Tangany's key were lost, the recovery function applies again. Even the simultaneous loss of both signing keys can be regenerated. So there is no single point of failure.
Future-proof and professional
Because Gnosis SAFE forms the foundation, experienced crypto users can adapt the wallet as they see fit: add extra signers, new recovery keys or their own keys — entirely independently of third parties. The wallet address stays the same throughout, and all assets as well as admin rights are preserved.
Usability
Someone with no crypto background can simply sign in by email or Google and transact safely using a standard 2FA app such as Google Authenticator — Web 2 convenience with Web 3 security. An experienced crypto user gets a robust foundation and can extend it individually.
Conclusion
This wallet configuration is available to all beel users, founders and investors alike. It offers security at the level of millions in volume, admin control for founders and intuitive handling that lets anyone get started with company participation. A big step towards our vision: everyone should be able to become a co-owner of a company.
